 Site Feature Administration Return Home 

Most of the features of the LetMeShop software can be accessed through a set of administration pages you can access through the Help link. 

Help is available from the link at the bottom of the left navigation bar on the administration home page. 

From the Help link choose Initial Site Setup Information

The resulting page has a brief explanation of each of the sections available.

  • Image List: This link opens a page with a description of each graphic button required for the catalog software including a brief description of where the graphic shows in the software and a recommended size. Please note that some images are especially designed for the software and should not be replaced.
  • Set up database connection string: This link provides you with a wizard that allows you to change your database connection. Do NOT change the LMS registration number after you have started using the software. CAUTION: Changing the database connection variables may cause your site to stop working. Use this script ONLY if you need to change the database name, user id or password.
  • Set up Initial Database Files: This link can be used to populate the database with initial required information. CAUTION: You should never run this wizard after the database has been initialized.
  • Set up property files: This link gives you access to a list of site properties that are used to set up the variables that tell the software which features to use and define the look and feel of your site. We will go through each of the setup pages:

    • Turn Site Off: There is only one variable on this property sheet:
      • StoreClosed: ACCEPTABLE VALUES - True or False
        If this value is set to "True" site users will not be able to make a purchase or navigate the product pages in the site. This is generally used when you are making major changes to the site and do not want the user to be able to access the site while the changes are being mage
    • Site Presentation Switches: 
      • ShowAssociated: ACCEPTABLE VALUES - True or False
        This switch turns on the associated products listings on the product detail page. See PRODUCTS for more information on associated products.
      • DefaultFont: ACCEPTED VALUES - Any valid font name. Multiple fonts should be separated by a comma with no space. The font you choose MUST be on the users system. If not, it will be replaced by the users "default" font which, in many cases, is the mono spaced typewriter font.
      • PageWidth: ACCEPTED VALUES - Any valid number in pixels. Most catalog sites now use 760 pixels wide.
      • LeftNavBarWidth: ACCEPTED VALUES - Any valid number in pixels. This is the width in pixels of the left navigation bar. If you do not want the left navigation bar on your site set this value to zero.
      • RightNavBarWidth: ACCEPTED VALUES - Any valid number in pixels. This is the width in pixels of the left navigation bar. If you do not want the right navigation bar on your site set this value to zero.
      • MainBodyWidth: ACCEPTED VALUES - Any valid number in pixels. This is the width in pixels of the main body of your site. This is generally set to the PageWidth minus the width of the Right and Left navigation bars.
      • FeatureCols:  ACCEPTED VALUES - The integers 1, 2 or 3. This determines the number of products in each row when Featured Items are displayed.
      • DepartmentCols: ACCEPTED VALUES - The integers 1, 2 or 3. When the user chooses a department with sub departments this value determines how many columns will be used to display the sub departments. See DEPARTMENTS for more information on setting up departments and sub departments.
      • MaxReturnProducts: ACCEPTED VALUES - Any integer. This value sets the maximum number of products to display on the product list pages. NOTE: If you are using 3 columns of products you should choose a value evenly divisible by 3. For instance 12 products would make 4 even rows of 3 columns.
      • MaxFeatureProducts: ACCEPTED VALUES - Any integer. Sets the maximum number of featured products to display. Enter a whole number.
      • EmailFriend: ACCEPTED VALUES - 1 Turns on the feature. Zero turns the feature off. Turns on the ”Email a Friend” link on the product detail page.
      • LoginRequired: ACCEPTED VALUES - True or False. Set to ”True” if only registered customers can place orders. Set to ”False” if anyone is allowed to place orders.
      • LoginSuccessCode: ACCEPTED VALUES - SELL. Code applied if a customer sucessfully logs in to the site. Enter only ”Sell”. Other options will be available in later versions.
      • LoginFailureCode: ACCEPTED VALUES - SELL. Code applied if a customer does not sucessfully log in to the site. Enter only ”SELL”. Other options will be available in later versions.
      • MainBodyLeftPadWidth: ACCEPTED VALUES - Any integer. Sets padding between the left navigation bar and the main body of the site. Enter any whole number of pixels.
      • NavButtonsPadLeft: ACCEPTED VALUES - Any integer. Sets the padding on the left side of the site navigation buttons. Enter any whole number of pixels.
      • NavButtonsPadRight: ACCEPTED VALUES - Any integer. Sets the padding to the right of the site navigation buttons if they are in the right navigation bar. Enter any whole number of pixels.
      • OpenPageImage: ACCEPTED VALUES - Any fully qualified link to any image you want to show on the opening page. NOTE: This is generally not used since we added the ability to enter HTML for the opening page.
      • ReceiptBodyWidth: ACCEPTED VALUES - Any integer. Sets the page width of the order receipt page. Enter any whole number of pixels. Suggested under 600 for a printable page.
      • UseSSL: ACCEPTED VALUES - True or False. Turns on SSL (if a certificate is installed).
      • ShowNavBarButtons: ACCEPTED VALUES - True or False. Set to ”True” to show the navigation buttons or ”False” to not show them. NOTE: We have found this to unnecessary in most application. Navigation buttons are generally included in the site header.
      • onecolumnbuy: ACCEPTED VALUES - True or False. If this option is set to TRUE the product list will present a buy button. This forces products into a one column display for all product lists.
      • ShowDepartments: ACCEPTED VALUES - True or False. Set ”True” to show departments list in the left navigation bar. Set to ”False” to not show the departments list.
      • ShowDeptSearch: ACCEPTED VALUES - True or False. Power Search is a feature that allows the display of a search feature based on multiple category/department attributes. Set to ”True” to display ”Power Search” in the right navigation bar. Set to ”False” to not show.
      • DisplayThumbnails: ACCEPTED VALUES - True or False. Set to ”True” to show product and featured product thumbnail images in the product list and featured list. Set to ”False” to not show.
      • AssociatedCols: ACCEPTED VALUES - Only integer 1, 2 or 3. This sets the number of columns that the Associated Products feature will use to display associated products. These products are listed on the same page as the detail description of the product they are associated with.
      • DeptAttributes: ACCEPTED VALUES - Zero or 1.  This switch enables or disables Department Attributes on your site. Enter 0 (zero) to disable Department Attributes or a 1 (one) to enable. NOTE: This option is required if you are using Power Search.
      • ProductCols: ACCEPTED VALUES - Only integer 1, 2 or 3. This sets the number of products to display on each row.
      • ShowCoupons: ACCEPTED VALUES - True or False. This switch enables the use of coupons in your site.Set to TRUE to use coupons or FALSE not to use coupons.
      • RequireCardVerification: ACCEPTED VALUES - True or False. This switch turns on Card Verification Number on the order processing page. Enter True to enable and false to disable.
      • SendStoreOrderCopy: ACCEPTED VALUES - True or False. This switch turns on email notification of a new order to the store billing email address. Enter True to turn on email notification or False to turn off notification.
      • CustAllowInvoice: ACCEPTED VALUES - True or False. IF you have a payment option of INVOICE and you choose TRUE for this option, all customers will be able to choose invoice as a payment option. If this is set to FALSE only customers you have specifically set permission to allow invoicing will have the invoice payment option
      • ShowSiteLinks: ACCEPTED VALUES - True or False. Site Links is a feature that allows you to build links within your site to web pages or to a display of information. Set to ”True” to show ”Site Links” in the left naviagtion bar. Set to ”False” to not show
      • ShowSiteSpecials: ACCEPTED VALUES - True or False. Site Specials is a feature that allows you to dynamically set information that can link to any web page including your catalog pages. To activate set value to ”True” to show ”Site Specials” table in the right navigation bar. Set to ”False” to not show.
      • ShowUserTable: ACCEPTED VALUES - True or False. Set to ”True” to show the ”My Favorites” list on the left navigation bar. Set to ”False” to not show.
      • SetPageAlignment: ACCEPTED VALUES - Left or Center. Sets the alignment of the table. Enter "center" to center the catalog on the page or "left" to force page to the left.
    • Customer Wish List - Favorites List
      • Tablewidth: Sets the width of the ”Favorites List”. Should be no larger than the left navigation bar width.
      • TableCellPadding: Sets the cell padding for the ”Favorites List” table.
      • TableCellSpacing: Sets the cell spacing for the ”Favorites List” table.
      • BorderSize: Sets the border size for the ”Favroites List” table.
      • BorderColor: Sets the center border color for the ”Favroites List” table. Enter any valid 7 digit Hex color in the format #000000. First digit is the number sign‚ next two digits indicate Red‚ the next two digits indicate Green‚ last two digits indicate Blue.

      • TableWidth: Sets the table and cell width of ”Site Specials” in the right navigation bar.

      • FramingStyle: Sets the look of the table for the ”Site Links” option. Options: ”Round” - sets the table corners round. ”None” - sets the table corners square.
      • TableCellPadding: Sets the cell padding for the ”Site Links” option.
      • BorderSize: Sets the border size for the ”Site Links” option.
    • Site Master Properties
      • Store_ID: This is the default store_ID used throughout the store. This value MUST be the same as the LOGIN used in the initial database setup. Any other value will cause the site to malfunction.
    • Site Text Values
      • GiftCertBillingMessage: This message is displayed on the receipt page if you have enabled "GiftCert" as a payment method. This is a text file and may contain basic HTML tags to format the text.
      • CompleteOrderMessage: This is the message at the bottom of the payment page. It is generally used to indicate what buying action should be taken. Example: Complete you order by choosing your payment method and clicking the Finalize Order button. This is a text field and can contain basic HTML tags but can contain no double quotes.
      • SiteInfoNotFoundMsg: Sets the message that is displayed if the site information requested is not available. You may set any string up to 256 chracters.
      • QuickSearchHead: This is the head copy for the quick search.
      • LoginWelcomeMsg1: Sets the ”Welcome Back” message for all login/registration pages. This is a text field. You can use simple HTML commands.
      • LoginWelcomeMsg2: Sets the text message that displays after a customer registers. This is a text field. You can use simple HTML commands.
      • LoginReqMessage: Sets the text message that displays when your site is set to force a login prior to ordering. This is a text field. You can use simple HTML commands.
      • RegisterWelcomeMsg: Sets the text message that displays after a customer has sucessfully registered. This is a text field. You can use simple HTML commands.
      • CustomerInfoUpdateMsg: Sets the text message that displays after the customer has updated their customer information. This is a text field. You can use simple HTML commands.
      • SiteTitle: Sets the Title of the site that will be displayed in the site. This is a text field. You can use simple HTML commands.
      • InvoiceBillingMessage: Sets the text message on the receipt page that indicates how the customer should handle invoiced orders.
      • EmailUnavailableMsg: This message is displayed if the site email option is turned off.
      • SiteURL: Fully qualified URL for this site. For instance ”http://www.webtransitions.com”.
      • AssociatedProductHead: This is the heading displayed on the product page when Assocaited Products are turned on in the site and there are associated products. This is a headline text and can contain basic HTML code to set font‚ size and color.
      • EmailAFriendPrivacy: This text is shown on the Email-a-friend page.This is generally instructions and a short policy statement concerning what you will do with the email addresses. Since the email address is not stored in any way there is no way for you to access the email addresses.
      • DownloadTitle: The document download page is _store/download.asp. The text entered in this property is used as the title for the document download page.
      • CouponInstructions: Sets the text instructions for entering coupons. Only shows if ShowCoupons is set to True. Basic HTML can be used but you cannot use any double quotes.
      • DownloadInstructions: The document download page is _store/download.asp. This text can contain up to 1000 characters and can be formated with basic HTML. It is used to provide basic instructions for downloading documents.
      • ShopForMore_Link: This is the link that will be used from the "Shop for More" button on the cart page and the checkout page. Enter a fully qualified URL in the format http://www.domain.com/filename.htm
    • Site Colors
      • PageFontColor: This is the default font color for the site if no other font color is chosen.
      • TableBaseFontColor: Sets the default font color for the site. Enter any valid 7 digit Hex color in the format #000000. First digit is the number sign‚ next two digits indicate Red‚ the next two digits indicate Green‚ last two digits indicate Blue.
      • TablePrimaryHeaderbgColor: The primary cell color sets the color of ”Header” cells in most site tables not listed elsewhere. This cell is generally associated with the ”Title” of a page area.     • Credit Card Payment Setup

      • Linkpnt_Req_Port: USED ONLY WITH LINKPOINT: Enter the required Linkpoint port number. Consult your linkpoint account information.
      • Process_Linkpoint: USED FOR LINKPOINT GATEWAY ONLY: "True" or "False" value turns the linkpoint process on and off. If "False" the credit card is not sent to LinkPoint for processing.
      • Linkpnt_Acct_No: USED FOR LINKPOINT GATEWAY ONLY: Enter your LinkPoint account number. See your LinkPoint documentation.
      • Linkpnt_Keyfile: USED FOR LINKPOINT GATEWAY ONLY: This must be the physical location of the LinkPoint .pem file. This is a hard path (C:\folder\filename.pem). You will need to get this from your hosting company.
      • Linkpnt_URL: USED FOR LINKPOINT GATEWAY ONLY: This is the fully qualified URL of the LinkPoint gateway. Consult your LinkPoint documentation.
      • Linkpnt_Results: USED FOR LINKPOINT GATEWAY ONLY: This value is used to set LinkPoint to live (0) or test (1) mode. Setting the value to 1 (one) will cause LinkPoint to return an approval for testing. Setting the value to 0 (zero) will set LinkPoint to accept live authorizations.
      • Linkpoint_AuthCode: USED FOR LINKPOINT GATEWAY ONLY: This sets the authorization type for all online orders. Values include: (0) Used to indicate a finalized order and force the transfer of funds. If you are selling services or information that does not have to be shipped use (0). (1) is used to do a pre-authorization. Use this if you are selling products that have to be shipped. These are the only two valid values for this property. Any other value will result in problems processing credit cards.
      • BluePay_Acct_No: USED FOR BLUEPAY PAYMENT GATEWAY - This is your BluePay account number.
      • BluePay_Results: USED FOR BLUEPAY PAYMENT GATEWAY ONLY - This is a value that switches your BluePay setup between test and live mode. Enter "Test" for test mode and leave blank for live mode.
      • BluePay_Use: USED FOR BLUEPAY PAYMENT GATEWAY ONLY - Enter "True" to enable the BluePay gateway and "False" to disable the gateway.
      • BluePay_Type: USED FOR BLUEPAY PAYMENT GATEWAY ONLY - Sets the type of payment to process. Set to "Sale" to process immediate payment and "Auth" if you are shipping a product and need to pre-authorize the sale.
      • QuickPayPro_Use: Set to "True" or "False". "True" allows the Quickpay Pro payment process to activate
      • QuickPayProserialnumber: Enter your Quickpay Pro account serial number
      • QuickPayProProduction: Set to 1 for production and 0 (zero) for test
      • PayFlowPro_TENDER: LetMeShop only supports credit card transactions. Enter C only in this field
      • PayFlowPro_TRXTYPE: This indicates the type of transaction. Use one letter only S=Sale, C=Credit, A=Authorization, D=Delayed Capture V=Void, F-Voice Authorization, I=Inquiry. The default for shipped products is A (authorization) and S (Sale) for downloaded products.
      • PayFlowPro_Password: Enter the password for your PayFlow account
      • PayFlowPro_Partner: Enter the PayFlow Pro Partner ID
      • PayFlowPro_User: Enter the User ID for your PayFlow Pro account
      • PayFlowPro_Vendor: Enter the Vender ID for PayFlow Pro
      • PayFlowPro_Use: Set to true to use this gateway
    • Meta Tag Properties
      • defaultmetakeyword: Enter the meta keword list for the opening page (/_shop/default.asp). The keyword list can contain no double quotes. Do NOT use the meta tag. List only the keyword string.
      • defaultmetadescription: Enter the meta description for the opening page (/_shop/default.asp). The description can contain no HTML or quotes. Do NOT use the meta tag. List only the description.

      • productmetadescription: Enter the meta description for the product pages of your site. The description can contain no double quotes. Do NOT use the meta tag. List only the description.
      • productmetakeyword: Enter the meta keword list for the product pages of your site. The keyword list can contain no double quotes. Do NOT use the meta tag. List only the keyword string.
      • productmetatitle: Enter the meta Title for the product pages of your site. The Title can contain no double quotes. Do NOT use the meta tag. List only the Title.
    • Automated Email Text Properties
      • MailPasswordMessage: Set the copy for the email message sent when a login and password are requested.
      • OrderEmailText: The copy in this text field is emailed to your customer immediately after they have placed an order. If you enter nothing here no email will be sent. This is a text field. You should not use HTML tags in this copy.
      • OrderCancelEmailText: The text entered here is emailed to the customer when an order is canceled. This is a text only field. Use no quote markes and no HTML tags.
      • ShippingChangeEmailMessage: This is the default message sent if you update the shipping charge for an order. The email is only sent if this field is not blank and you enter a value in the text field available with the shipping update form.
      • ShipedEmailMessage: If you enter any copy in this field the program will automatically email an ”Order Processed” message that will include the text you enter here. If nothing is entered‚ no email will be sent. This is a text field. Do not use HTML tags in this message.
      • RegistrationEmailCopy: Sets the value of the email sent when someone registers with the site. If nothing is entered no email will be sent
