You can set a virtually
unlimited number of payment methods. The most commonly used are credit
cards (Mastercard, Visa, AM, etc.) and Invoice. The most commonly used
have been added to your database. You may edit, delete or add additional
payment methods.
When you choose the Payment Types link in Shopping
Setup you will receive a list of all of the current payment types
defined in your catalog program. It will look similar to the
illustration below.

You may add another payment method by choosing the Add
New Payment Method link at the top of the page.
To delete a payment method choose the Delete link
for that payment method.
To Edit a payment method choose the Edit link for
that payment method.
The illustration below shows
the add / edit page for payment methods.
- Payment Type ID - This must be a
unique ID with 12 or fewer characters. Most often used ID's are
"MasterCard" for Mastercard or "Visa" for Visa.
-
NOTE: If you use an Invoice or a Gift Certificate
payment method the ID must be Invoice and GiftCert
respectively to insure the proper display of Invoice and Gift
Certificate instructions.
-
Display Sequence - This indicates the sequence that the payment
options will be displayed. If Mastercard has a display sequence of 100
and Invoice has a display sequence of 200, Mastercard will display above
Invoice.
-
Description - An internal description of the Payment Type for
administration only.
-
Credit Card - This checkbox indicated whether or not this payment
type is a credit card. This switch controls whether or not the payment
is processed through the credit card process. Check if this is a credit
card payment method.
-
Active - This checkbox controls whether the method is active. If
the checkbox is not checked the option will not show on your payment
page.
